From 2 October 2026 to 20 January 2027, Il Margutta Veggy Food & Art hosts “Un sacco belle”, a solo exhibition by Brivido Pop curated by Marco Dionisi Carducci and conceived by Tina Vannini. The venue is at Via Margutta 118, within walking distance of Piazza del Popolo and the Spanish Steps.
The works bring together familiar faces from twentieth-century cinema — including Brigitte Bardot, Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren, Rita Hayworth and Stefania Sandrelli — with references to painting, film posters and popular visual culture. This is not a historical cinema exhibition; its appeal lies in how recognisable images are cut, layered and recombined.
What makes the exhibition worth a short stop
The title work places Bardot within a crowded visual montage that also draws on other actresses, Vittorio De Sica’s screen persona and Goya’s Maja desnuda. Brivido Pop’s approach is rooted in collage and digital recomposition, informed by the artist’s background in cinema graphics.
For international visitors, the main advantage is the low language barrier: much of the experience comes from recognising images and visual references. Via Margutta also makes the exhibition easy to combine with Piazza del Popolo, the Spanish Steps or a walk through the northern part of the historic centre.
Art at Il Margutta
The works are displayed inside Il Margutta Veggy Food & Art, which hosts a changing programme of exhibitions alongside its vegetarian restaurant on Via Margutta.
